Finally my last post to finish up Christmas. We had a wonderful Christmas this year. A few highlights...
I made matching Christmas pajama pants for our family this year. Is that cheesy? In my defense it's festive though right? I thought it was a fun idea, but having 3 boys that will one day be TEENAGE boys, I'm sure looking back at these pictures will be a family joke when Mom made us wear those matching pajamas on Christmas Eve. But it WAS fun for me and I think they look adorable. I've got to do these things while I can still get away with it!

Don't I have the best husband for being a good sport and wearing them too?!!

We started off the evening by making Reindeer Food to throw on the snow.

One tradition we have on Christmas Eve night is to make crepes with strawberries, bananas, and whip cream. I love how Porter is always right beside whoever is cooking. Daddy is the crepe maker at our house.

Lexi couldn't get the cool-whip to spray, which gave us all the giggles.

It wouldn't be Christmas Eve without making cookies for Santa. Sugar cookies won the most votes again this year. I had an inkling that might be the case so I had made the dough earlier in the afternoon while the kids were out being pulled in the snow behind the 4-wheeler.

After opening their homemade presents for each other we frosted the cookies with THE best Coconut frosting (a recipe from my Aunt Didi) that is to die for! It makes the cookies MELT in your mouth. My favorite. Pretty sure Santa likes them too.

After setting a plate of cookies for Santa on the fireplace we sat in the glow of the Christmas tree and read the Nativity from the scriptures and a few other Christmas stories. Then the kids were tucked in to bed listening for jingle bells...
They were up at 6:00am dividing their presents into piles, and then took turns watching each other open. It was wonderful, it lasted almost an hour! Wowsers! A record at our house for sure. Wrapping paper is usually flying and we're done in about 10 minutes. Maybe they're growing up. What good kids. They were happy with what Santa brought and we had an exciting yet peaceful morning. Kyler loves his new electric scooter, Lexi adores her American Girl Doll, and Porter was excited over his Batman Castle.

Here is Brenner on his new "Horsie!"

In the afternoon we went to my parent's house for Christmas dinner and more presents. Then we went to Dave's family's house for another wonderful feast and opened more presents. We were spoiled! And enjoyed every minute.
Oh, I can't forget about MY surprise. On Christmas Eve the doorbell rang and in walked delivery men with a PIANO! I had no idea. My husband is the best at surprises. I've been wanting a piano for years, especially now that the kids are old enough and wanting to take lessons. I am beyond thrilled!

I also got a new vacuum. I love my husband. Since Lexi vacuumed up a sock a month or two ago our old one hasn't been the same. Thank you Dave, for being the best husband in the world!
It was a very Merry Christmas!
